Statute

 

 

                Article 1

                NAME
                    The name of the Foundation shall be  Fondazione Antonino Reggio

 

                Article 2

                Article 3

                MISSION STATEMENT OF THE ORGANISATION

 

                   The aim of the Fondazione Antonino Reggio shall be:

                     A non-profit organisation set up to research the life and works of
                 the Eighteenth Century Sicilian Prelate, harpsichordist, violoncellist and composer,                              Monsignor Antonino Reggio, described as “a  man of great intellect, erudite, and very deep                  in music, eminent for his skill in the art” and “learning
                 in the science of sound
” by his contemporaries.

 

              Article 4

             OBJECTIVES

                4.         The Foundation shall have the following objectives:

                4.1       The main purpose of the Foundation is to encourage and promote research   
                 and 
raise public awareness of  the works Antonino Reggio,.

                4.2       The preparation of articles and general information to make available via
                 scholarly journals and other media ;

                 4.3       To transcribe and prepare modern editions of Reggio’s work both for scholarly study
                  and performance.

                4.4       To promote performance of his works in recitals.

                4.5       To promote the recording of his works.

                4.6       To raise funds by means of subscription of patrons or otherwise for all the purposes 
                 and objectives of the
Foundation and through specific projects

 
              Article 5

             GENERAL POLICY

                 5.1.      The Foundation shall be autonomous and voluntary.

                 5.2.      The Foundation shall be non-profit making and any excess of funds received or
                  generated from its activities must always be reinvested in the same Organisation.

                 5.3.      The accounts of the Foundation shall published to all patrons on a yearly basis. 

                 5.4.      Provided its autonomy is not affected, the Foundation may collaborate with other
                  entities on a national, regional or international basis in order to further its aims. 

                 5.6.      All prospective Patrons of the Foundation shall have access to the statute of
                  Foundation upon demand.

                 5.7       Any commercial activity in respect of the aims of the Foundation shall be carried
                  out by a sister organization, Edizione Antonino Reggio.

             Article 6

                 STRUCTURE AND MEMBERSHIP

                 6.1       Patrons of the Foundation shall fall under the following categories

                        Honorary Patrons            individuals who have supported the work of
                                                                        Foundation. These shall be invited by the Foundation at
                                                                        its discretion.

                 Institutional Patrons  -      Institutions, libraries and other such entities which have
                  supported the work of the Foundation. These shall be
                  invited by the Foundation at its discretion.

                 Subscribing patrons –        Individuals who wish to support the aims of the
                 Foundation through an annual subscription.

 

                6.2       Initially the Foundation will be managed by a President who shall be the founder  of
                the Foundation. Should it be deemed necessary then an executive committee shall
                be formed to administer the affairs of the Foundation.

            Article 7.

             SUBSCRIPTIONS, FINANCES AND ACCOUNTS

 
       7.1.      (a)  Applications for subscribing patrons shall be accompanied by the
                          subscription fee.

                    (b)  The subscription fee shall be payable yearly in advance and shall fall due on
               the last day of December.   

                    (c)   If the subscription is paid after the first of June then the fee shall be 50% of 
               the annual fee.  

                 7.2       The funds of the Foundation shall also be collected from voluntary contributions,
                 donations or grants by Members, benefactors, the State, any other institution, and
                  from fundraising activities.

                 7.3       The funds of the Foundtion shall be deposited in bank accounts of a reputable local
                  bank in the name of the Fondation.

                 7.4.      Proper books of accounts shall be maintained as to enable to issue an accurate
                  annual report of the Foundation
